Working in Anonymity, "Just doing what we do," a family and groups of volunteers has served the poorest communities in San Antonio for decades, distributing "bread" and clothing to the those in need. As time has passed our chosen system of distribution, direct mutual aid, has grown but so has the need of our neighbors living in the streets. The pandemic has greatly widened the inequity of our community and in the past 2 years our lead advocate, Susana Mendez Segura, has begun to publicly make a "call to action" by documenting the works of our family and friends and the suffering of the most neglected among us.

We ask that you take action yourself, through your works, through your giving, to join the fight against systemic injustice and inequity, to destroy the system that has pushed so many to dire straits, a system that has pushed so many to the streets and rebuild our communities in a way that makes "nuestra comunidad" a better place for all.

Our family Segura has been been involved in direct aid to those in need of food and clothing for over 30 years and our recently passed father, Adolfo Sr., gave to all for over half a century. His spirit of generosity and caring lives on through our own works and through those in our comunidad who treat the lowliest and neediest of us as equals. It is our whole hearted belief that we are all brothers and sisters, and like a family, we can all solve our collective social problems united as one. We hope through your support to continue on for another 50 years and beyond.
